Summer Science Experience

The Summer Science Experience is a fun, interactive, week-long science camp for middle schoolers (rising 7th through 9th graders). It is held every summer at Troy High School, Fullerton, and is taught by Troy teachers. Students are introduced to advanced level scientific subjects, preparing them for high school. Field Science

This class focuses on three fields of science - Entomology, Geology and Fossils. Students will be introduced to the diverse world of insects, examine geologic specimens and learn about extinct organisms.

Anatomy and Physiology

Students will explore the history and major advancements in medicine, learn the art of dissection through a study of the anatomical systems of the rat. They will also learn proper sterilization and suturing techniques.

Chemistry/Forensics

This class prepares students in chemistry related topics, including the atomic structure, formula writing, naming compounds, algebraic manipulation, dimensional analysis, and stoichiometry.

Engineering - Simple Machines

Students will learn the mechanics of simple machines including the construction of mousetrap cars, bottle rockets and bridges. The projects will be tested at the end of the camp and prizes will be awarded for the best designs.

Tech - Spherobots & Drones

Master programming basics through exciting robot and drone challenges in mazes and competitive races. Learn, compete and innovate in a fun setting.

Lab Enrichment - Wet Lab Skills

Prepare for high school with fundamental lab skills. Hands-on experiments teach measuring, safety, and scientific methods in a fun, engaging way.
